Course Development
The European Studies Consortium welcomes the opportunity to support faculty interested in developing new courses or adding a European component to existing courses. Please contact the European Studies Consortium at anytime to discuss this possibility.
Target themes for the National Resource Center for the entire cycle of our grant are as follows:
| Academic Year | Course Theme |
|---|---|
| 2006-2007 | Ethnicity, Identity, and Conflict |
| Multiple other options in 2006-07 | |
| 2007-2008 | Islam and Europe |
| Art in War | |
| Comparative Economic Treaties | |
| Rural-Urban Divisions | |
| Immigration and Public Policy | |
| 2008-2009 | Labor in Europe |
| Irrational Borders | |
| Cultures of Communication | |
| 2009-2010 | Migrant Literature in Europe |
| Global Media – National Audiences |
Please think creatively about these themes as they can all be interpreted broadly and are relative to many disciplines. Any discussion on course development is welcome as funds not expended in any one year may still be available for courses. Contact us to discuss any idea you may have as we will work to support curriculum development on campus.
